    What morph is this?
So I was searching Craigslist for a ball python and came across this guy. I've never seen one like it so I'm wondering what morph it is. The seller doesn't seem to know that they have a very interesting ball python. They're only asking $80 with full setup included. I'm really tempted to buy this guy but first I want to know what he is. Can anyone identify this morph?
Here's the link to the Craigslist post. I couldn't figure out how to post a picture directly. http://lawrence.craigslist.org/pet/4006730127.html

Looks like a black back normal to me. Pics are kinda poor.

nice reduced-pattern normal with lots of black on the back.

i heared that there are proven genes that make such a black back, but sometimes its not genetic.

the price seems fair, and if it would be female it could be a good choice to breed morphs that benefit from such a reduced pattern. but it seems to be a male.

black back normal in a poor tank set up.
It appears to only have over head heat, so make sure to fully inspect the snake and look for any signs of respiratory if you decide to go look at it.
I see no way to monitor temperatures except that stick on strip at the top of the tank.
Male black backs are typically pets, not something most breeders would buy to breed.

Worth $80? maybe, if the snake is healthy.
But the tank needs more heat at the least ...

Black back, but not reduced pattern, it has alien eyes galore.

Black Back - whether it's genetic or not - only breeding will tell.

Pretty snake, I like it a lot.

is "reduced pattern" strictly limited to the amount of possible eyes of alienheads?

for me, "reduced" is about more order and self-similarity in the pattern, less randomness. You could call it lower noise level, less randomness.

what is your definition of "reduced" ?

Obviously your definition of reduced is yours alone , Reduced pattern always have and always will be about the lack of alien eyes and this is not a reduced pattern animal.

    ok, accepted, but...

i love alien eyes :( I never would assume them to be detrimental. i guess for me "reduced" will be something different, an orderly, more defined and fractal pattern, as opposed to randomness.
