Not that my black pastel was a problem feeder because it was never an issue getting him to eat, just he was shy a lot and sometimes I would have to just leave it in front of his hide and close the tub. Well I was just adding a warming touch to the rodents from a hair dryer to help them stay warmer longer. So after this I seen the black pastel out, but it didn't dong on me that he was all over the front of the tub where they have the air holes at. So I took the tweezers and opened the tub with my other hand and he came launching out and my thumb just happen to be there and he tagged me. Of all the BP's I've dealt with this is the first one to actually bite me, though I've been struck at before a few times. I'm just happy he suddenly got an aggressive feeding response so I don't have to worry about him snatching them up now. Then he had managed to flip his hide so I went to flip it back over and put it back where it went and he bit me again, lol.

He's under 100 grams so I had a few pin pricks of blood but it was well worth it.

Welcome to the joys of pre-scenting. I have to use bike gauntlets to open my tubs on feeding day.
