First time BP feeding questions about F/T
When I got my BP Juju she was eating two F/T fuzzies a week. The woman who sold her to me said to defrost the fuzzies in a pot of hot water for 5-10 minutes. I've been doing just that but it's been kinda stressful. Most of the time the tail breaks off when I'm using the tongs and today Juju at the first fuzzy but when I went to give her the 2nd fuzzy she snapped at it, tried to eat it and then left it. When I tried to dangle it again she just ignored me. I tossed out the pinkie and prepared a new one....that one she snatched up like a charm. My questions are...
1) she's two feed now...when do I move past feeding two pinkies and what do I go up to next?
2) should I feed her live mice?
3) any other way to thaw mice?
4) Do I have to toss out an uneaten F/T mouse?

Is she on mouse or rat pinkies? There's a huge size difference between the two. I'd bump her up to a rat pup/crawler. Getting her on rats will make things easier and cheaper for you in the long run.
Feeding f/t vs live is up to you, whichever works best for you. I personally feed f/t because I'd hate to run into a situation where I couldn't get my hands on the appropriate sized meal.
I've only had the tail break off when I leave it in the water for too long. To prevent this, you can gradually thaw it by leaving it in the fridge overnight, then put it in hot water for a minute or two, or alternatively you can use a heat lamp to warm it up.
