Just wondering. I'm well aware that they are nocturnal, but sometimes you have some snakes that are exceptions. Wondering about your kids.

My BP may stick his head out of his hide once in awhile, but I don't think I've ever really seen him out during the day. He waits till his light goes off and it gets darker in the room.

Never noticed Cheetah ever out during the day, but every now and then Monty will come out and make a lap around the edges of his tank, run his body through his water bowl, then head back into his hide and curl back up.

Hmmm...a BP that likes to keep in shape. Gotta do those morning exercises! Or maybe he's just doing a security check.

My bp roams the cage at night only in the days leading up to her next feeding day. But other than that, she switches hides during the day all the time, but seldom roams during the day like she does at nighttime.

I see Andy out during the day sometimes. Sway is all over the tank no matter what time of the day it is, and Sphinx is just fine chillin in his hide all day and night ( as far as i know ).

I see Jake out at all times, but he is much more active at night. Today, he stayed out in the open in his enclosure, curled up against the glass. He has 2 hides, and didn't use either today. At night, however, he explores all of his enclosure, so its much more fun to watch him at night.

I'm curious, those of you who say your bps come out during the day - do you provide your bps tank/cage with any type of artificial light? Just wondering if the amount of light provided them has something to do with why some come out more during the day - or if it's just an example of their individuality.

I run two lights both red and my bp stays in her hide all day out at night some times. I got her after she was about 10 months old and I think that she was house in a small cage all her life. When I got her she was very very shy she does good now though. I usually get her out every night and she is very ative. She has two hides cold hot and stays in the cold most of the time. Nice roomy tank but just doesn't come out much, maybe she is lazy?
