    Weight Tracking and other information
    Hey all,

I wanted to get opinions on the best ways to track valid information for snakes. I just wanted to see how most people do it. I am thinking of doing a spreadsheet for them but I am curious about possible layouts or other ideas. All thoughts are welcome.

when I say valid information I am talking about things like weight, length (probably annoying as heck to get), last feeding date etc.

I weigh my snakes usually right before a feeding and after defecation to get a more accurate record. No matter how u do it before or after feedings etc always do it the same. Measurements are best done with a soft edge tape measure to bend along the snakes body.

I'm not too worried about collection methods. I am talking about good and effective ways of tracking the information that I am collecting.

An excel spreadsheet, the Snake Keeper app, or iHerp are all really great ways to keep records :)

I use both the snake keeper app and the pet pal app. The pet pal app actually makes a graph for you of their growth, which is pretty cool. It's not the best, and it's sometimes a bit glitchy, but I still like using both.

I can't find either app anywhere... Are they available in the Google Play Store/for android?

I might copy this if you don't mind. So much more detailed than the simple one I made...

How my mom and I measured my snakes was to run a length of string down their bodies and hold it at the end, then measure the string.
