    Boa morphs
Okay so I finally got ball python morphs and genes down. Now I need some help with the boa side.. I'm thinking of eventually breeding my normal BCI one day.
Is there any morph of BCI I can breed to her and I will get visuals?
Can somone go over some of the boa genetics for me?

    Here's a basic boa genetic calculator: http://www.redtailboabreeder.com/genetics/

You could pair your boa to a hypo to give visual normals and hypos. Another option would be a jungle, though I would get a high expression jungle so you can easier determine if the babies are normals vs low expression jungles (but like balls, just because you have a high quality parent doesn't mean they'll throw high quality babies).

Another cool choice could be your boa to a motley too (these being co-dom). These are super nice; if you want me to post up my A+ baby female let me know.

I'd look around and see what catches your eye and then research (or ask the breeder) if what you're looking at will yield visual babies with your normal. If the seller/breeder really cares about customer service they will take the time to go over genetics with you, your future breeding plans to try to produce what you want to, and answer any other questions you ask. If you like my hypo girl then maybe look into a hypo jungle male, a hypo motley male, or a hypo recessive if you want to get into recessive boa morphs. There's lots of boa morphs out there, I'm sure one will stick out to you.

+1 for motley!! The motley gene is my second favorite only to leopards. Motley makes everything better IMO. But I'm partial to dark boas.

    What Daybreaker said. LoL!

Here is another boa genetics calculator - may be a little more extensive for you.... http://www.owalreptiles.com/boagenetics.php

Best piece of advice I can give you is to choose a dominant or co-dominant gene to start with, such as a jungle or motley, since it will give you the best outcome in the litter. For example, I personally love jungles and I think one can never have too many jungles, lol. Since you have a normal, and jungles are co-dominant, I would pick a really nice high expression jungle male for your girl. Jungles also are highly sought after and even low-expressions sell pretty well.

But mostly, breed what YOU like and not what you think will sell the best. You'll be more satisfied with the results in the end. :gj:
