Bite Club: The little ones always get you!
Had the opportunity to work with a great variety or snakes this weekend including Northern Pines, Dumerils, Salmon and Red Tail Boas, Irian Jaya x Jungle Carpets, Everglades Rats, Apricot Milks, Ball Pythons, Macklots Pythons and more... and the smallest of them all decided to give me a nip when showing him to a customer!
I didn't get to grab a picture while being 'attacked' ;) but here is the "AFTERMATH". I was quite surprised at the amount of blood a young Irian Jaya x Jungle carpet could draw. Does anyone on the board keep these animals? They are stunning!
The rest of the redness is courtesy of a very nice and docile Caiman Lizard, we had her out quite a bit during the CRBE for people to see and so that we can educate future herpers on the complexity of care requirements for specific animals!

Yup, they can be pretty flighty! This little one got me twice, had 4 at the show but only 1 was a biter.
