Finally joined the bite clube! I'm so proud of him.
Saturday morning I fed my kids and changed out the water bowls. Petey got a tasty medium rat while I did dishes and ran around the apartment. So after I figure he isn't going to eat as the rat is on the warm side and he is huddled over on the cool side. I open the lid and go to put the bowl down in his tank. Then it happened, he bit me. My hand should not have smelled like rat at all as it was in and out of dawn/ammonia dish water for the previous 20+ minutes. I was happy and proud that he bit me, I thought another BP was gonna be the one to do the honors. I was giddy for like a hour afterward.

After some analysis, his top row of teeth are on the right where all the blood is and one bottom tooth punctured the knuckle.

Nice first tag..I haven't joined the bite club and its been around 3 + years or so for me I'm sure mine will be a big ole nasty one.
Ive gotten grazed by my big female ivory when I had a latex glove on spot cleaning. She ripped the glove, but I didnt have a scratch, mark or blood so doesn't count! :colbert:

ty, ty. Honestly, I've been hit harder by a 3mo old carpet python and my 3ft. yellow rat snake, but they wasn't as bloody. I'm just so happy to say I'm in the BP bite club. :D

Welcome! Luckily it was just a Ball Python. I've gotten bites from a few species.
I've been bitten four times by my own snakes. Once by my Ball Python, and three-four times by my Male BCI. He's generally aggressive, though, so...
I've gotten tagged by a few GTP's, ALMOST a big ol' Blood (glad I didn't), and a JCP. Think that's it. I wouldn't have called any of those "bad" bites. I don't think any snake really generates a bite that's too painful. Those bites from other people's snakes took place at an expo. I think the GTP's were probably WC imports, tbh.
