What do you do to bump up humidity?

I use coconut husk and cypress mulch and humidity is at 40%. I do spray daily or so and it goes upto 50-60% for couple hours. Substrate is bit dried up. If I do wet them, it will dry up in couple days although I only use UTH (w thermostat 90F).


What do you do to bump humidity up?

First of all what are kind of hygrometer are you using those dial things useless

and also what kind of enclosure are you using

If you have a screen top, cover a bunch of it. I am honestly thinking about just buying a humidifier for that room. Glass tanks are horrible for holding humidity. I have one with a screen top (covered in tin foil) and also a screen vent under the sliding doors in the front and also ones on the sides on the upper part. It's totally not ideal for a BP. I have covered the top but the sides are next. I was having no problem holding it at 50% in the summer but it's getting cooler and drier here and I need a better solution too, Mine actually went down to 39% today, so not cool.

All my guys are consistently in tubs/cages at 40% or less humidity and I've had zero health issues: I only bump humidity up when I catch them going into shed (some misting every day up until they shed does the trick). 40% daily humidity is nothing to worry about IMO.

I never have a problem holding humidity with my tanks with screen tops. Maybe my house is naturally humid. But I just mist the tanks and put a towl over the screen covering most of it but leaving a little opening for fresh air to flow through and all my snakes shed perfectly every time. And I'm using aspen for bedding. But a good misting with a towel over top always works for me but if that doesn't work for you you could dampen the towel with some warm/hot water not too hot and put it over the tank as well to get it really humid.

I've had moderate success placing a moist towel over half the screen top of the glass tank. Make sure that you are not covering the entire top, however. I'm also using a CHE to maintain the correct ambient temps, however, and it may be hard to leverage this method without one.

Fortunately, this method is really easy to try out!

So I guess it's the towel method huh? Alot of people are suggesting that hmm. I was actuallt looking for more of a method that could last longer? Haha it sounds like I should change the towel every couple days or so. But then again moisturizer or fogger seem very expensive. ..
