My first clutch ever is hatching and I have a simple question that I could not find the answer to with the search engine. After the babies crawl out of the eggs but before they shed I know to keep them on damp paper towels. I also know that most of you keep the babies together in a 6 qt bin then put them in individual bins with dry paper towels in a rack as they shed.

Question: Is the bin with the damp paper towels kept in the incubator or in a rack with hot side and cool side? I can do either, what do you do?

I always kept mine in the rack with a hot and cold side.

x2. We always put them on the rack together with both hot and cold sides available to them. After they shed, we split them up and start feeding. Good luck!
