What size rat for a 1 month old
I'm getting a 1 month old 100g ball python on Sunday and have to order some frozen rats for her. The breeder has them on "12 day old pinkies" (fuzzies?) for the first 3 months, but I'm wondering if I should order pups instead.

I switch to pups around 150 grams. Although the rat pups I get here are about 30 grams.

Ok, great, I'll order a pack of 5 fuzzies and 25 pups. I have a 12 day old rat pinkie that she gave me, but it seems small for her, but I don't want to stress her out offering larger prey than she's used to when she's just settling in.
She seemed really confused yesterday when I put her in the tank (it's a 24x12x16 front sliding door tank with front vents and I've covered the top), and she's used to living in a tub with her clutch mates and no hide on paper. Is she ok on aspen at this age? I didn't think twice about it until I put her in yesterday. She seems to be settling in now, she found her hides and has figured out how to use them and isn't pushing her nose against the seems of the tank trying to get out. As much as I want to handle her I won't until she feeds once. I'm going to try with the 12 day old rat tomorrow, fingers crossed!
