    Green Pastel Possibilities
So I just bought a green pastel male, and my friend bought a female GP. I have been trying to research the genetic possibilities but I haven't been coming up with much. So far I have that green pastel is also called Lace Blackback, and it is just another line of Het Red Axanthic. Apparently the super looks like a gargoyle although I have not seen photo evidence of this (apparently the WOBP's picture is incorrect). Also you can get a Gargoyle by breeding with a Cinnamon. But that is all I found. What other possibilities are there, or is this a morph that hasn't been played with much?? If you had a green pastel, what would you breed it to?

Green Pastel is a real sleeper morph. The Cinny x GP or Gargoyle is awesome though their pattern tends to washout as they age. The Black Pastel x GP or Onyx is amazing and they hold their pattern and coloration well into adulthood.

I believe Ace of Snakes produced a Black Pastel x Green Pastel x Amir Harlequin last year. Hr called it a Black Jack and it is a Stellar looking animal.

In short, play with the morph and see what you can produce. It's quite possible it could be the first of it's kind.

I don't think I have heard of a "sleeper morph" before. Do you mean is is boring, or that it has kind of been forgotten about? That other information you provided is really interesting. I might have to get hold of a black pastel female ;) In the mean time I will see if I can bring something new to the market!

A sleeper is something you would underestimate, normally based off of first appearances. Think of a sleeper hot rod.

I remember the super green pastel looking like a red axanthic not a gargoyle, I could be wrong though.

Yeah, by "sleeper" I meant oft over looked. The Real is sweet. Personally would have called it "Gun Smoke" but I didn't produce it, lol.

I have a female Dinker I'm trying to prove to be Allellic to Het. Red or Green Pastel this coming season. Got a BIG (2800g) male Black Pastel to breed her to. So hoping for Gargoyle/Onyx out of the pairing.

Good luck with that dinker project! It sounds super sweet if you get some good stuff out of it :)
I just got home and got to see my green pastel for the first time in person (he arrived in the mail and Adam was home to fix him up in his new tub). He is pretty different looking to anything else I have, but in a subtle way. I am looking forward to having a good selection of genes to play with. Now just to feed them all up big and strong!!

It's definitely a very often overlooked gene that can have some amazing results.

I've seen two morphs I think with GP and they were both stunning.
