Each new iPhone model has a better camera, and shoots at a higher resolution. Some apps that upload images reduce the resolution which isn't a good thing. I would suggest using the photobucket app (free), and in the settings on your photobucket account (also free) check the option for full size uploads.

Another thing you can do is use some of the editing features right on the iPhone's native photos app. When viewing a picture in the app tap on the "edit" button in the upper right corner. This will bring up a new set of tools on the bottom of the screen. tap on the "magic wand" (auto-enhance) tool This will automatically balance the colors exposure etc. Depending on the picture doing this can make a big improvement or little at all.

You get what you pay for. If you want really nice pictures a DSLR is the way to go.

According to Apple's announcement on Tuesday, the new iPhone 5s will have a better camera. Unfortunately for Apple fanboys, that's about all it has.

Light is the best thing you can do for your pictures. Natural light is best, however even just directing a light fixture towards you will do wonders. Also a plain background can really make your subject pop. These are a few photos I have taken with my iPhone5.

It's an s model, nobody was expecting anything revolutionary, it's a product cycle that almost all tech companies use these days. One year they release a totally redesigned product, the next year is just a spec bump or in some cases a die shrink. It isn't possible to come out with a mind numbing new product once a year at this point.

I'm not a huge fan of finger print scanners, but it looks like this one is well implemented. The big thing this year is iOS 7, iOS 7 is going to make all compatible iDevices feel like they are new.

The new 64-bit A7 SoC is a very powerful chip. The fact that it is 64 bit SoC is a little gimmicky at this point, but what it is doing is paving the way for some really cool things. A new iPad with it's larger battery capacity paired with a 64-bit SoC and more RAM will turn the iPad into a device capable of so much more than it currently is.
