Don't try this at home...
The last time I posted pics of my cat & snake/s, I was reminded to give a disclaimer - so please children, do not try this unless you're experienced with handling both species together. ;)
Also, the cat in these photos is 16 years old, going deaf, and has absolutely zero hunting instinct... I've had her since she was a kitten, and haven't seen her catch anything other than a moth (if it flies into her face, lol). The snake is super mellow too, so not worried about them near each other! Anyway, just thought you'd like these photos of Kona the cat and Bobbi the BP.

P.S. I recently encountered this imbecile on a Humane Society FB page, who made a stupid comment about a middle-aged woman who adopted a cat & had snakes at home. Wish I could show her these pics! Hehe.

Well, I wouldn't say I "did" anything in particular - I just took out the snake for a minute, and she slithered over Kona on her own. I just didn't push her away immediately, since I know they pose no threat to each other. Not to mention, my hand was just a few inches away & I have fast reflexes.
Thanks, though. ;)

Re: Don't try this at home...
Nice! I take my Ball Python out around my dogs regularly so they know that snakes aren't a thread or anything. My dogs will let my snakes slither all over them, and my snakes aren't scared of my dogs, either. However my male BCI is extremely aggressive so I don't let anyone/any other animals around him, besides me, when I handle the little meanie.
Re: Don't try this at home...
My Ball Python escaped once, and my dog sat right next to the bucket he was hiding in. She didn't bark at him, or get in his face, just sat their looking at the bucket, wagging her tail.
Don't try this at home...
When I take my ball out my little dog walks over and I don't think she really understands its another living creature, as she gets all excited and wants to get as close as possible and had even tried to lick him!

That's how mine were at first lol they'd come up and sniff my Ball Python a few times and then do a little taste test to see if he was eatable? Lol
