    San Diego Gopher Snake Pictures!
So a while ago I posted that my sister had caught a baby gopher at school and decided to keep him because he was so sweet and would eat f/t.

Well, she decided she couldn't afford him and gave him to me(I knew this would happen from the beginning). I decided to go take some real pictures of him today!

As you can see, he had one layer of stuck shed on his tail. I didn't notice it until after I took the pictures. I gave his tail a little soak and it came right off. I checked his shed and his eye caps came off fine :)

Now he can get the proper care he deserves! ^^

Oh, yea, I forgot to mention that his name is Jester! My sister had no name for him, so I named him.

He's beautiful! I love Gophersnakes, I have a young Sonoran male. I need to take some recent pics of him, though.

    Thank you!
Gopher snakes are so cool! They're abundant over here, we used to get them in our backyard at our old house all the time, but they were BIG. They would scare the crap out of my mom :P

If you take pictures, I would love to see them! ^^

Very nice, but one recommendation is that you should use more light when taking pictures :P

Had a young gopher snake in my yard for the first couple years I lived here. But I haven't seen him for the past year or so. :(

They are neat though, and definitely plentiful. Let me borrow Jester some day, I have plenty of gophers for him! ;)

Very Cool! I caught a young one last year in my yard, moved him to a gopher mound in my front yard...I'd love to find another little one.

    I know.
I only have one light right now with a mediocre set up. My dad has a real studio set up, but if my snake escapes in the garage, then I'm screwed.
So, I'm trying to work with what I've got :P
I need to set up another light on the other side, but that would require me spending money, and I don't feel like it right now. ._.

We used to have resident gopher snakes at my old house. My mom wasn't to thrilled about it though since they were really aggressive and got quite a bit bigger than most other gophers I've seen. Once she knew they were just gopher snakes though, she left them alone unless they tried to get into her chickens and ducks, which apparently chicks and ducklings are much tastier than the rodent problem we had ._.

We have lots of gophers over here(thank goodness not at my house). I know exactly where to look if I ever wanted to find another gopher snake :)
My dad found a nice 6-7-footer while on a bike ride, he has a video on his phone I think.
