San Diego Gopher Snake Pictures!
So a while ago I posted that my sister had caught a baby gopher at school and decided to keep him because he was so sweet and would eat f/t.
Well, she decided she couldn't afford him and gave him to me(I knew this would happen from the beginning). I decided to go take some real pictures of him today!

As you can see, he had one layer of stuck shed on his tail. I didn't notice it until after I took the pictures. I gave his tail a little soak and it came right off. I checked his shed and his eye caps came off fine :)

Now he can get the proper care he deserves! ^^
Oh, yea, I forgot to mention that his name is Jester! My sister had no name for him, so I named him.

I know.
I only have one light right now with a mediocre set up. My dad has a real studio set up, but if my snake escapes in the garage, then I'm screwed.
So, I'm trying to work with what I've got :P
I need to set up another light on the other side, but that would require me spending money, and I don't feel like it right now. ._.

We used to have resident gopher snakes at my old house. My mom wasn't to thrilled about it though since they were really aggressive and got quite a bit bigger than most other gophers I've seen. Once she knew they were just gopher snakes though, she left them alone unless they tried to get into her chickens and ducks, which apparently chicks and ducklings are much tastier than the rodent problem we had ._.
We have lots of gophers over here(thank goodness not at my house). I know exactly where to look if I ever wanted to find another gopher snake :)
My dad found a nice 6-7-footer while on a bike ride, he has a video on his phone I think.
