    Mystic or Mojave?
Ok guys, after looking at a lot of pictures, I'm starting to think one of the "mystics" I'm looking at is actually a mojave. I have yet to see a picture of a mystic hatchling that looks anything like her, but I've found a lot of mojos that look identical. I know it's not a great pic, but what do you guys think? I started a new thread because it's a different topic.

first of all that's a terrible picture .. we can't see the pattern at all .. HOWEVER judging at the photo I would say that is a phantom .. I hatched a mojave this year and I your guy looks different
    this is my mojave

If it's a phantom, then it's definitely worth what he's asking (purple passions, yes, please). But not if its a mojo and it looks nothing like the mystics I've seen. A basic google search shows me Mojos that look just like her. I'm trying to get the breeder to send me better pictures. I don't think he's deliberately trying to sell me the wrong thing. I just think he may have made a mistake. I just don't want to wait years and then breed her to a mojo and get white snakes rather than passions or potions.

I asked for another picture and mentioned that she had a really mojo or phantom look to her and he got offended. I was in no way implying that he's deliberately trying to pass a mojo off as a mystic. If anything, he might have made a mistake...and if he did, it's a really expensive one for me that would take years to prove out. I think that if it were me and a potential customer wanted to verify genetics before spending over $600 on a snake I've only shown them a bad picture of and am already pricing on the very high end, I'd send better pics of the snake and pics of the parents to reassure them and not get my feelings hurt over it because there's a huge difference in price between a Mojave and a mystic.

Mystic and Phantom are the same thing. Just like Butter and Lesser.

And that is a Mystic/Phantom not a Mojave

That doesn't look like a Mojave, and does look more like a Mystic.

their belly's are also very different, and obvious once you know what each looks like.

not all lines of mojaves are that light though, some do look more like mystic/phantom, but still the difference is easily seen by a trained eye
