Hatchlings not shedding

My first clutch shed right on schedule but my second clutch of eight eggs only four shed the other four will not shed. They were hatched 8/11 and seem healthy I even put them in desperate tubs and fed them and then put them back together in a tub with damp paper towel. I raised the temp slightly to see if that would help and today I put a piece of scouring pad in the tub to give them something to rub on. They dont act Ill at all and all took a rat fuzzie with no problem. I had to feed them because they were so active climbing all up on the front of the tub,like they were hungry. Jim Hope I wasn't wrong doing that. Please help

I'm not a breeder or have much info to back this up but I do have a few theories below if you want to hear them. I've been doing a lot of research lately and I'll continue to do so for a few months at least, but here are some thoughts.... oh and I started writing the bottom part first then decided I didn't want to say to much just to stick my foot in my mouth later so I added this as a prequil of sorts.

I think perhaps some of the reason you were having a little trouble getting help with this is because your post is a little jumbled and difficult to read in some spots. Have they shed yet? if not perhaps the meals they had were a little smaller than the ones their brothers and sisters ate causing them to grow just a little slower. Have you weighed them out to see if maybe they just haven't grown as much as the others? After all they will shed when their skin becomes tight and uncomfortable. Until then just keep an eye out.

not trying to be a smart butt, buuuutttt they will shed when they need too. They will never ever do anything on our schedule!

Separate them into their own tubs and countinue on with normal husbandry.

That post was a mess I'm on a smart phone and the spell checker changes words to what it thinks you wanted to say. I think I'm experiencing another case of balls do what they do and don't always go by our schedules. I normally don't feed hatchlings until they shed and I separate them into their own tubs, but as they were taking so long and acting so restless I could tell they were hungry so I fed them I guess they will shed when they are ready I just wasn't sure if it was delayed because of something I might be doing wrong. Are you positive they have not shed yet? I am with Wapadi though, chill and they will do their thing when it is time.

Thank you so much for replying I was starting to think know one liked me LOL I'm sure they haven't shed, and I know they have to be tired of being on that wet paper towel not to mention the risk if scale rot. I'm going to move them now and just keep the humidity right with some misting.

I seem to run into a few every year that don't shed the first time.

It seems to make them a little harder to get started on feeding ( bear in mind I start them on F/T ) but otherwise it doesn't seem too bad.

The first shed is so thin it doesn't seem to cause any problems like constriction and it's just a matter of keeping them going till their next shed. :)

You know we like you! We just aren't necessarily online at 1:17am EST. ;) At a month old, I wouldn't bother keeping the paper towels wet any more, just keep proper humidity. Otherwise, you're doing just fine. :)

Well it seems I am having a similar issue. I had a clutch hatch and everyone was out of the eggs on the 10th. All have shed save one. The weird thing about it is the one that hasn't shed was the first one to cloud over and clear up. Now it has just been in a holding pattern for about 5 days. Poor little thing is sitting alone in a tub with wet paper towel in the incubator. My question is how much longer should I wait before I just assume it isn't going to shed and move it to the hatchling rack with the others?
