    over feeding?
i dont know if this should be here or in husbandry, so if im wrong it can be deleted. last thrusday i fed my ball a small mouse, and a hopper size because i believe she was underfed compared to. my real question is does digestion take longer ? i tried to handle her and she seems very angry and wants nothing to do with it so im thinking she is still digesting and doesnt want to be bothered. any thoughts?

how many days did you give it? I like to leave mine alone for 48 hours after feeding.

48 hours is a safe rule of thumb. They should be on the hot side for most of that time. The radiant heat assists with the digestive process. :)

hopefully someone else will chime in, but 5 days seems like a while...can you still see the lump in it?

You can handle it when ever you want. If the snake is full, it won't eat

Mine is the same way. Doesn't care if you handle him after a feed or not. I usually don't, unless I need to move him.

Now one time he was just in the mood to kill something. He killed the rat, wouldn't eat it for over a day, so I pitched it.

I'd just like some information on how big the snake is and if you have a scale how much does it weigh?

Was the mouse an adult mouse, or just a small hopper mouse or what? I'd just like some clarification on this subject to give you better advice.

Also I'd try to switch to rats over mice.

    It sounds like a baby/juvi.
It is very normal for them to be jumpy or skiddish at that age. When you're that small, you have to be defensive.
They almost always grow out of it. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

thank you everyone i appreciate all the input, i think i found out the problem she was out of her hide for a while actually the whole time after i fed her but i cleaned her tub and set everything back up and handled her and she was fine so i think she just felt threatened but all is good now :)
