I am in the process of building an incubator and I'm trying to find decent but cheap 110v mini fans. Anyone have suggestions of where they had bought them?

The cheapest thing to do is find people getting rid of ancient computers. Rip the fan out of that and hook it up to any adapter that matches in voltage and you are in business. Assuming you are like me in the fact that I have somehow accumulated a whole bunch of dc adapters randomly over the years from random things I have bought and had break / wear out etc.

Reptile Basics has a brand new fan made for incubators. Here's a link http://www.reptilebasics.com/incubat...incubator-fan/

For my incubator I use the CPU fans that have a little switch to adjust the fan speed, most have three speed adjustments. I use a ac/dc adapter, model# SF-789, this adapter allows for two fans to be plugged in directly.

I took a few pictures for you, the fans cost around $6 and the adapters I purchased from Frys Electronics cost around $8. Of course you may use any style fan, most will plug right into the adapter.

Thanks all. The computer fans would be the easiest since I have built many computers over the years and have boxes of spare parts. I had originally been looking for a 110v fan but would rather go with lighted pc fans this way I won't need to add extra lighting to see inside. I'll check those fry's adapters as well as the pile sitting around the house. :gj:
