    Question about selling hets
I recently got a het pied female without any written guarantee. I did so because the breeder has a great reputation. I plan on producing some pieds in the future and the pairing will be pied x het pied. Obiously there is a chance that i will produce hets. How would i go about selling the hets if im not known at all as a breeder and people would basically have to trust that im selling them an actual het?

Pictures of the parents locked up is always helpful, along with your own version of a "genetic guarantee" if you want to go that route. It might take a while at first, but every sale you make is another person who will be willing to vouch for you.

I dont really plan on being a breeder. Just produce some of my own. But I will remember to take a pic of the lock.

Pictures of the parents locked are good. Be sure to included the terminology "100% het pied" on the receipt that you give them, and if it is via PayPal or something of that sort, there will be a permanent record of it. You might even want to make a document with photos of the baby being sold and its parents to give to the buyer to help assure them (and anyone who may acquire the snake if they sell it) that it really is 100% het pied.

And with het pieds, they often have the "train tracks" het pied markers on their bellies, and showing potential buyers a photo of that if your babies have it might also be reassuring to them.

This ia belly photo of one of my normal 100% het pied babies that has some "train track" markers. If you do a Google image search for "het pied markers" you will see some that are more prominent than these. Of course any random snake that has them is not guaranteed to be het pied, and not every het pied will have them. It's just a tendency and might be reassuring to a potential buyer.
