    Yawning
I have two baby ball pythons that seem to yawn alot. One is just finishing his shed but he did it before he was shedding and the other isn't close to shedding! Don't want anything to be wrong! Please help! Thank you!

How often is "a lot"? Like every day/several times a day, or just after feeding, or every couple of days?
Are there any signs of mucus around the mouth or nasal opening? Any wheezing, open-mouthed breathing, or is the head constantly held up above the ground?

After feeding sometimes snakes yawn to get their jaws back into place. That would be my first guess, but I am not an "expert". I do know that it would be helpful for other more experienced people to know the answers to the questions above - and maybe a few more?

    :)

Well one does it everyday multiple times since I got him about a month ago. And the other I have only seen yawn once and she ate on Monday. I don't see anything around his mouth or nasal opening. I don't hear any wheezing, only time mouth is open is when yawning, and he is always moving when he knows someone is home. He is very active for a ball python my others sleep all thru the day but when i'm home he is always moving around and watching me. k

The more time you spend with them or just watching, the more idiosyncrasies you will pick up. You can't watch them 24/7 though.

From what I've seen of mine, I believe he yawns daily, and many times more than once.:)

SO TRUE, I have even seen my BP drink once! :P This was when I first got her and sucked at humidity control though
My pythons always yawn after they eat, like the above person said they are fixing their jaws and (I think) it also helps them push their food down a little

Mine yawns almost every time I hold her, but I generally take her out and hold her for a hour or so at a time. Mine doesn't appear to be sick, so I think it's pretty normal.

My BP curls up and lays on my chest for like a half hour or more. In which he will stretch his head in front of my face, yawn really big, and place his head back down right under my neck. Since he doesn't have eyelids I'm not sure if he's really sleeping, but he does it whenever he relaxes on top of me. Yawning isn't a big deal unless its all mucous-like.

Mine yawn fairly frequently. My wife is actually pretty good at predicting when they will yawn.... Its usually when they are busy going around checking things out, then they suddenly pause for a few seconds

You may want to increase the humidity.

One of my redtail's would "yawn" from time to time. He would rest about 1/3 of his body against the corner of the tank and open mouth breathe. My worry was that it was signalment of a respiratory problem.
It turned out that the humidity was too low and once I increased it, the "yawning" stopped.
