Pretty cool pics Moot, I'm wanting to get another beardie and I want to raise these over smelly crickets this time around. Ive been doing a lot of reading on them and they seem very easy to take care of and they don't climb plastic tubs like crickets which is a big + for me.

Ermagerrd!!! That's so cool/gross. I'm really creeped out by these guys and my crickets, but I'm also really fascinated. I haven't gotten to the point where I can pick them up with my bare hands, but I don't squeal when one of them touches me anymore lol. I'm working on it!

I LOVE dubia's. I used to have a colony and I would take the roaches out and play with them

I actually miss them, awesome little (big?) bugs :P

Yeah they're super easy to raise. Sometimes I forget about them for awhile, they're very forgiving lol. As long as you don't let food mold, you're golden. And they don't jump on you like crickets do, which is a HUGE plus for me. Fair warning though, buy a TON to start up, because you'll have a hell of a time getting your lizard back on crickets in the event you run out.

Yeah that's what I was going to do and I was also told to be careful and not feed off any of my females when starting a colony. Sometimes it can take up to 1 1/2 months to get things rolling but once they start its smooth sailing.

More like 4 months lol. But I started with fairly small ones. Luckily it's super easy to identify the sexes. I feed off the majority of my adult males. They make the NASTIEST noise when crunched by a lizard. Definitely makes you think twice next time you open a bag of chips lol

Dubias are awesome. I have a colony to feed my T's and actually really enjoy keeping them. NO smell what so ever (and their tub is right next to my bed so i'd know if there was a bad smell lol), crickets Reek!

Wow I don't think I could sleep with them next to my bed. The sound of them skittering around on the cardboard makes my skin crawl lol. I keep mine safely in a spare room :)
