    Pittsburgh native, seeking knowledge!
Hey my name is Brandon, I'm currently 18 years old and have just started my first semester as a college student, pretty excited (:

I'm a declared Biology student and am looking to fulfilling my life long dream of becoming an animal biologist. It's been a dream of mine work with animals and learn as much about them as I can my whole life. Growing up as a young kid I was constantly out side digging for any sort of animal I could get a hold of, and reptiles have always been a specific interest as mine. I was completely obsessed, and I got to meet Jeff Corwin at Hershey Park when I was about 11 or 12. Definitely a highlight of my life, he's a great guy and a huge inspiration to me.

I've been around animals forever but started keeping reptiles about 7 years ago. I used to be in the habit of adopting and rescuing older animals, so my collection is pretty tiny because most have passed away, unfortunately. Right now I only have a 3 remaining animals, of which only 1 is young so it's safe to say I'm ready to start up a new generation.

My last generation that passed away consisted of 1.0 Cornsnake, 1.0 Ball python ( who sadly died mysteriously :c ), and 1.3 Leopard geckos.

Right now I have an unsexed Fire skink, a male Irian Jaya/Northern Blue tongued Skink who I've had for 5 years, and a 4 year old female Leopard Gecko I adopted about a year and a half ago. The Fire skink was the first purchase I've made in years and that was back in April. But I have finally made enough room to make purchases more freely so i expect to have more company soon haha

My most wanted purchases now are pretty much consist of skinks, which I tend to think are my most favorite. I'm looking to buy some Red-eyed Croc skinks, another fire skink, and some 5-lined skinks. As for snakes, I'd like a Brazilian Rainbow boa and an Australian python species of some sort. The snake I want the most is a Vietnamese Blue-beauty snake, but I do not feel confident enough in my experience of colubrids to get one just yet, I know from what I've read they're feisty and demanding! Someday though :P

Luckily enough for me, my gf of 3 years is completely supportive of my obsession. I actually rubbed off on her, and my most recent reptile purchases have been for her lol
She has a male beardie and a male ball python

I've been lurking on this sight for a good while and I thought it was about time I joined myself. I look forward to learning more about the hobby! :D

here is the picture of me when I was little with Jeff Corwin, one of my greatest memories

Welcome to the forums and that's a great picture. You'll find nothing but support with this community for any reptile additions.
