Check or money order, and make sure the buyer is ok to wait until the check or money order clears.

Money orders or cashier check knowing that you will only ship once payment has cleared the bank which usually take 5 to 7 days.

Make sure you discuss that with the prospective customer and that understands and agrees with this.

If he tries to rush you telling you that he wants you to ship soon as you receive the payment, my advice to you is stir clear from that deal.
