    Odd feeding dilemma...
Wanted to switch my girl over to f/t rats from mice. She is 24" and weighs 186g. I got a small rat that is the same circumference (I actually measured), but weighs 60g. I'm guessing it would be a bad idea to feed it to her, but thought I would seek advice. She currently eats 3 mice every 4 days that weigh about 13-15g each. Thoughts?

Personally I'd try weaned rats. My albino is 150g and he's eating 30g rat pups.

Yah, that sounds better... Being a Sunday as well as a holiday weekend, I was pretty limited on where I could pick up food.... Looks like they are gonna stay in the freezer and I'll pick up something smaller on Tuesday

It might not be a problem but I wouldn't risk it. Can do more harm then good. Yeah it's hard finding the right size prey items here also. Especially for the babies. The only shop around here sells 10g rat pinkies and then jumps up to 30g rat pups. I just wish he had rat fuzzies. They were trying to get me to go back to adult mice but I really don't want my snakes getting hooked on mice and having trouble switching over. Even though they took rats from me right from the start. I just feed 2 rat pinkies a week to my 80-85 gram snakes at the moment.
