hi everyone, as some of you might know from my post earlier in the day my ball rocky had his first pre killed meal.Usaully after his meal he goes straight into his hide and i dont see him for awhile but after his meal today he was very active climbing in his tree and exploring his cage.He has always been a very active friendly snake, when i stick my hand in his cage he comes up and climbs on me(not until three days after feeding) but im confused about him not going in his hide today, do u think something might be wrong ? Is anybody elses snake that active after a feed ?

What's in your CD player right now???
Sometimes they'll just stay in hunt mode for a while. Don't worry, they know whats best for them and will act accordingly to that. Just let Rocky be a ball python!

    Tank questions??
Don't worry at all! Sometimes after eatting Elysia will be ALL over, she will climb on her climby thing, burrow, climb on the thermometer even! Sometimes she just goes under her log to digest though.
And you can handle them 48 hours, dont need to wait 72, at least I don't o_O

You CAN handle 24 hours after they eat, but I don't suggest you do. It stresses them out too much I think. The only reason I mention this is because I HAVE to handle/pick up my sister's snake after 24 hours. She eats in a seperate tank, and I leave her in there for 24 hours before I move her so she doesn't regurge on me. Then I leave her in her own tank another 24 hours before handling.

Elysia eats in her own tank so I just leave her alone for 48 hours.

Brandon, you might want to try giving him a larger meal next time.

Jojo hardly ever hides he feels safe being out of his hide and just laying around. Maybe your snake also feels secure in his house.
