    Does my baby ball have mites?
    So i jut got my baby ball python last week nd today i took out him out nd when i felt something crawlig in my arm nd it was a little black bug which i squased nd hes been having out in waterbowl at night what wat i found a mite if it was i some help to get rid of them ive been looking online on how to get rid of them but ive heard so many different ways nd so many oppinions tat i dont know which one is the safest for my baby i heard prevent a mite was pretty good but i just need some experienced help cause im new to the whole snake world

    Yep, sounds exactly like mites. Prevent a mite is a good product. Make sure you clean EVERYTHING, and if you have or and type of porous material, like tree branches or decorations, I would toss them out asap. Make sure to get the entire enclosure and to do it outside if you possibly can, the fumes can be over whelming. Best of luck!

    I have a half log nd a exo terra cave should i bake the log in the oven and boil the exo tera cave? And how should i clean the snake

    I agree, sounds like mites. My advice, order some PAM Provent-A-Mite and pick some Reptile Spray up from the pet store while you wait for the PAM to ship.

    PAM is what you use on the tub, NEVER on the snake

    And yes mites can be hard to get rid of, and they are a big deal because they can and will kill your snake if left untreated. I use both of these products, but mainly rely on PAM.
