    Shed after laying.
My female laid eggs and within two weeks. She has gone thru the "blue smokey eyes" part of her shed.

Is this normal for her to shed soon after laying?

I'm guessing. Yes. Cause her size has decreased but I thought when they shed they grow?

    Your thoughts?

Both my females shed a few weeks after laying. I would imagine that after laying the eggs its their way of adjusting to the weight loss.

Mine is eating hard even though she is in shed. Which is amazing.

Pregnancy does crazy things to the female body ;) Typically shedding means growing, but it also means: pre-ov shed, pre-lay shed, and post lay shed. All totally normal, and from my experience, all will happen.

Great isn't it! Never had such powerful striking when feeding before. Not wasted a rat in weeks! :D
