Frozen shipment came, But Im not there

So this may be a stupid question, BUT I have to ask...

I ordered a shipment from RodentPro and as timing will have it, it has arrived today but I wont be able to toss it all in the freezer until I get back home a day later. How long can it last with the dry ice before I HAVE to get them in the freezer? Any thoughts? Thanks!!

How many days did it take to ship? And what are your day/night temps?

it was ordered on the 22nd, night temps range in high 50s to mid 60's...PNW weather

I'm not sure what PNW is, but there is a chance it could still last though nobody can tell you for sure. What I'm curious about is why order if you didn't have the room before hand? That's quite a bit of money to let go to waste.

On the side note what you can do, depending on how they seal their bags is put everything on ice in a ice chest. I order strictly from Big Cheese Rodents and he vacuum seals everything so it's all airtight and I've actually put stuff on ice while thawing out my freezer.

Neal, PNW = Pacific North West. And not sure where you read that the OP didn't have room for them or why that would be relevant to the question. The OP isn't home to receive the shipment and therefore also cannot unpack them and put them on ice.

There are too many variables to really accurately guess if the shipment will be OK or not. But you're in a lot better shape where you are than if you were in the south. Most likely, they will be OK. I've had frozen shipments arrive with the dry ice gone and the rodents mostly thawed out, but still very cold to the touch. They refroze just fine and all the snakes ate them without any issues.

If you're really worried, is there a friend you could call to go over and pick the box up and put them in their own freezer? Or (if they're squeamish about the contents) put the whole box into a cooler with a bunch of ice?

A misunderstanding.

I thought he's getting home and won't be able to toss them in the day after he gets home, or that's how I took it and also I'll just add I literally had just woke up. As I said though I'm not sure if Rodent Pro vac seals their bags, so you may be able to get ice and put in a ice chest to keep from thawing out. The dry ice after two days is pretty gone but they do still have some there, but a third day unless packed with dry ice would be a stretch. Sorry about the original misunderstanding.

JLC, well I was just curious if that were the case. I wasn't going to give him a hard time but I always like to understand the way people think or the reason some people do certain things. It's always an interesting aspect to learn from.
