    Concerned about my snake.
She has a small bit of brownish wrinkled skin below her mouth. What could it be? I tried googling it and couldn't find anything figured someone here might know. I typically keep her tank at humidity levels between 50-75%. I have a UTH and the ambient temps are 77 F on the cold side.

Not to be rude but, that's pretty big and it didn't get that big over night. I'm looking at it on my phone but to me it looks like she may have mouth rot. Is there any way that you can open her mouth with a Popsicle stick and get some to take pic of the inside of her mouth??

I truly don't believe it's mouth rot. The inside of her mouth is nice and pink. I just opened it and the process made her bleed and i think she may have lost a small tooth so I don't believe that was worth it. I didn't see any bubbles in her saliva so it can't be anything with her respiratory. She has no wheezing or open mouth breathing or anything like that. The only thing I've seen that is strange is she "yawns" occasionally. I have a couple pictures but they aren't very good.

I have no insight, but I don't think it's strange that she "yawns" mine does it almost nightly. I hold her for about an hour a night and I almost always get a "yawn".

That is weird. Is there any mucus? Or noise when she breathes?

It's definitely not that, it would be a open sore if it was from scraping rubing ect. This is more of a fungal/blister.

If you you look at early stages of mouth rot it doesn't just start out black and nasty it starts with fungal type blisters on the inside or outside of the mouth around the mouth areas of where your girl has this.

I need some more information that I should have asked for earlier.

How long has this been there for? How big was it when it started out? Where did it start on her and then spread to? Have you changed anything such as diet ( getting feeders any where else) ect?

I noticed it today. I noticed a slight discoloration in that spot a week or so ago but i didn't think anything of it. It's only been in that spot there aren't any other spots where I've noticed any irregularities. I recently switched to rats that my friend that keeps poisonous breeds.

I would say that this is some type of fungal then. It went from a discoloration a week ago now it looks like this. This could be caused by several things including where you are getting your rats from now. I actually talked about treating sores and stuff in a earlier thread last week a vet check up still may be needed but you can try this for the next 2-3 days and if you don't see a improvement call a vet .

Purchase a pure jar of honey and when I say pure honey it has to be pure. No added sugars ect, straight from the bees into the jar.

Spread it onto a q-tip and apply to the sore 1-2 times a day. Pure honey is a ntaural medicine, you can treat sores, fungals ect. I cured my beardies mild case of mouth rot with it and he had a fungal sore on the outside just like your snake and it cured that to.

I picked up some raw honey from whole foods and I just started treatments. I'll post back in a few days.
