post egg laying

I finally received my first clutch of eggs on 8/9/13. I have a couple questions tho.
How long does an average female that laid eggs get back on food? I've cleaned the tub and everything, she still doesn't want to eat.
Second, how many months do I wait till I attempt to lock them up again? do I just get it up to breeding weight?

Did you wipe down the top of her shelf? Did you wipe her down? And her water dish?
For example my female pastel laid eggs in April of this year, ate 8 days later and I will reintroduce a male probably in November. She will be considerable larger then her prelay weight by then.

Most of my girls eat the day after they lay. I use F-10 to thoroughly disinfect everything they come in touch with after they lay eggs. I also wash down the female after taking her off eggs. Some folks say you don't need to do that, but I've gotten several females to eat hours after laying, so I'm going to stick with my way of doing it. Make sure your food is a little smaller than normal. That may help.

The majority of my females will resume feeding within 24 hours and up to 7 days after laying however every now and then some take longer.

I have seen several females over the years take 60 days before resuming feeding.

As far as pairing again I give them 6 months but this mean they must have put all their weight back on + some.

I clean the tub and put her back in it. I've never seen a difference between sterilizing thoroughly and just wiping the tub down.
Last year I tested a single female and didn't even clean her tub after she laid(it was fairly clean) and I fed her the next day. She ate.

We always wash the female and move her to a whole new tub and setup. Most start eating within 24 hours.

My big girl that laid at the end of last month, I changed the tub and put her back and offered her a rat weanling that night. Its normally way to small for her, she was 3500 grams before breeding her. She ate 2 of those, and then for the last few feedings would only eat weanlings, yesterday she ate her first big rat. If she is refusing her normal size food you might try offering her something small that you can safely leave her with and give her some privacy to eat. :D

Most of mine eat within a couple days, I did have one that took almost two weeks this year. Just keep trying.

And I wait until I start breeding season again, as long as they have gained all their weight back and a little more.
