Need help between BCI or BCC
Can anyone help me understand the difference between the two?
Re: Need help between BCI or BCC
Bcc mainly refer to a locality. Surinam, Guyana, Peruvian, Brazilian, etc. for the most part they have a higher size range. It's tough to pinpoint some of the differences. For example telling the difference between a Surinam and Guyana is difficult. The only true way to be sure is to know where it was caught or buy from a breeder that knows the location if the original animals capture.
BCI's trend to be smaller and for the most part cover all your morphs. This is the same thing as what some refer to as a common boa or normal.

That's a bci. Or normal or common. Here's an example of a bcc, these are Surinams that I've owned.

Correct. It doesn't help with ID too that when one country or another has shut down exportation, the borders are so porous that collectors just go across to were they can sell and export. A BCC coming out of Guyana could be just that or Surinam or Brazilian. Same with BCI from Central America. That's why so many are just called Central Americans and not Costa Rican or Nicaraguan etc.

Your boa is a BCI: my best guess a Colombian BCI boa (which is what most people call "common" boas: the Colombians). Other BCI boas include Central Americans, Nics, Mexican dwarf boas, Hog Islands, etc (just some examples) but yours looks like a Colombian "common" BCI boa to me.
