    What do you think this is?
    Found under a vending machine at work. You might have to zoom in. Maintenance man came and took it away so no more pictures.

    Where do you live? Zooming in distorts the picture a lot, but it could probably be narrowed down by whatever region you're in.

    East GA. Looks like some sort of king or rat snake. It was certainly not venomous.

    Its a Watersnake (genus Nerodia), probably either Midland or Banded, although its sort of hard to tell from the distance.

    It looks pretty small gauging by the floor tile. Black rat snakes start off with a lot of pattern and then darken as they grow. Could be a black rat juvenile.

    It was definitely a baby. Maybe 2 feet long and captured in a Styrofoam coffee cup.
