Litters litters everywhere! (pictures)
With my rat breeding program going well, I thought I'd post a few pictures of my most recent litters.
All of these litters are sired by the same male, my agouti berkshire male with higher white sides, who is the son of the mother of litter #1.
Litter #1
From my Fawn berkshire female. She's most certain homozygous for agouti, so all the babies came out fawn and agouti, with varying degrees of white.

I like this little boy and girl, and thinking about keeping them:

Litter #2
From my black berkshire girl. All of these babies came out black and agouti, with varying degrees of white.

I like these two, and might keep one:

Litter #3
From my black hooded girl. These are only a couple days old, but you can already see markings showing. I suspect they are mostly black and agouti, but looks like there might be one or two lighter babies in there. Those are either fawn/beige or colorpoint/albino.

Litter #4
This litter was born yesterday, so I'm trying to give mom some time to rest. I pulled the bin out just far enough to get a quick picture, but as you can see babies aren't very visible from this angle. Mom is full sister to the sire of these litters, and looks almost identical to him. You can see she's also an agouti berkshire with higher white sides. I suspect this litter will be agouti, black, fawn, and beige, with varying degrees of white. Slim chance of something else (most likely colorpoint or albino) popping up.
