my bp is coming to me from alex hue tomorrow (can i get a hallelujah!) so, this is probably a silly question, but in a few places i've read recommendations for conditioned water or spring water with a bp. does anyone have any experience or opinions about tap water or alternatives?

i would say that it makes a difference what kind of water you have! We have VERY hard water. So, after misting my Hissy's tank with tap water at first, i saw all of the mineral deposits on the tank. So, I bought some cheap spring water & I fill my misting bottle with it. On the rare occasion that i do actually have to mist, the spring water makes all of the difference in the worldl!

I use tap water and add reptisafe water treatment.
Guess it would depend on what type of water you have.
Seems most just use good ole tap water.

It would definitely depend on the type of water you have. Our moderator Judy said once that if she and her kids don't drink the tap water, she won't give it to her herps. I think that's a pretty good rule of thumb.

I use tap water that has a Britta water filter. I live in San Antonio and if If i dont use a filter my water bowls get caked with lime after a while and the britta filter works great at removing chlorine and floride from your water.

i have a minifridge in my room and have a brita filter pitcher....usually i'm too lazy to go downstairs and fill up the water bowl so I just use brita water. Tap water is fine though, much cleaner than any water they'd get in the wild...

I'm with you Brandon.O! I spoil all my babies!. Snakes and even the dog and fish get reverse osmosis water - oh yeah, and the humans too. :D
