    Flattening head?!
    I scared my BEL Texas Rat and he flattened his head like that of the shape of a rattlesnake and rattled his tail!!! It was crazy! lol.
    Is that normal, do other snakes do that?

    It's pretty normal. They do that to look like a rattler on purpose to deter predators or danger away. Pretty cool defensive mechanism, imo. Evolution is awesome.

    A few other snakes will do that when threaten or when irritated, hognose is one of them as well.

    That's so neat.... none of my other snakes have done that.... it seems like Zeejay does something new and strange everyday..... he's a brainy little one. lol. Like today he surprised me by begging for food. He stood straight up, tongue flicking like crazy, and following me around (in his tank) while I was going around feeding my turtles some f/t mice. lol. What a personality he's got.
