    just gettting ideas
building a new rack system since im starting to acquire more and more lol .. just trying to get ideas on if i should build this rack where i have no lids on my tubs or keep lids .. to me i kind of like the idea with no lids its eaiser to get to the snake and a lot less hasstle putting the lid on n off but i do like the extra security of the lid and i think it helps contain better temps n humid .. but i would like to hear what everyone thinks .. so please feel free to comment and give ur toughts ..

    thanks ..

Well you just leave a thing gap between the tub and the rack so the snakes can't get out. I don't use tops on mine and I've had 0 issues.

I saw a comment around here somewhere were people would use a CD when building a rack, the width of a CD would be the gap that would be left between the tub and roof were the tub would slide into.

Obviously without lids. Makes it much easier to access the snake. Humidity and temperature shouldn't be an issue if you have a back wall and side walls on your rack. Personally I'd like to build my own rack but my wood working skills are far from par. I'm in love with C Serpent Racks.

Homemade beautiful rack. No lids. I use the golf tee security system. No issues with heat or humidity. Love my rack. You love it too.

cant see the pic im at work it this pc sucks .. but i already know how i am goin to build my rack its going to be from the plastic storage shelf things u put together they sell em in walmart and lowes im gonna get 2 since the space in between the shelfs is so big ill just cut the connectors to the size i need and i can stack 2 or 3 untis on top of each other without taking up a lot of space .. then i got plex glass im gonna drill under the shelfs so that should trap humid .. plus u need to make a flat serface and that should do great .. then im thinking more plex glass for the sides and back but im gonna spray paint the outside parts black so it stays real dark in there for them .. then the only thing is my heat tape idk if i want to fun one big piece or do each self and then jump them .. idk yet .. what do u guys think .. one piece or jump them ?
