About a month ago all my rats (400) rotted in their bags after my deep freezer broke. I'm just now getting restock with about a hundred hoppers and 60 small rats.

Oh, never was able to clean the freezer all the way out felt like death. That is until yesterday when I got it scrapped!

That must have been nasty... and expensive. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

That's an expensive break and it sucks.

I ordered a 3.5 cu chest freezer/deep freezer. The sunbeam one from Walmart for $199. I then got the three year extended warranty for $20. I check on it daily for any signs because if it breaks I'm going to be one ticked off person.

I feel your pain! A few years back my father in law accidentally unplugged our chest freezer(full of rats) while we were on vacation. It was not until several days later he realized he unplugged the wrong thing and went back and plugged it back in. Now we had de-thawed rats that started rotting and then refroze. When we got back home a week later we found a giant disgusting mess. The smell never came out of the freezer. Needless to say it had to get scrapped as well. Sorry you had to go through something similar.
