Twisted umbilicus! Help!

Had my baby BPs hatching out since Thursday but one hadn't completely come out so i went to check and her umbilicus was completely trapped around her, I have tied with Dental floss and cut it, I hope this is correct, a friend had this happen recently, didn't cut and the baby died, what do I do from here? Please can anyone help? Worried Python Mummy. :confuzd:

Now that she's free, you have another concern to think about-- did she fully absorb her yolk?

Pretty sure once the umbilicus is cut and tied off, you just have to put them on very moist "bedding" (paper towels) in a separate tub, until they've absorbed whatever yolk is left. You might even have to feed them some egg yolk, but I'll let the experts instruct you on that. I hope the little guy makes it! I lost a baby to a twisted umbilicus last year, but that was a case of not knowing until it was too late to cut/tie it... so hopefully yours will have more luck. :(
