    Ohio and Arizona reptile laws
I am wanting to move to the Phoenix, AZ area within the next year. In between moving locations, I may have to live with my dad temporarily in OH. I need to know whether or not I should have trouble moving with three ball pythons and a boa constrictor to either location. Do any recent laws passed effect the transport to either state or the temporary ownership in Ohio?

As far as I know nothing has been passed that would affect you having your boa and three bp's. I'm assuming it's a BCI or something of that nature and not like an Anaconda, if so then I'm almost positive you're fine.

I know in 2014 they're passing one about anything over 12 foot. So to my knowledge nothing currently will affect you. Though local laws are always different, so I would check them out too.

Thank you. Yes, three female balls and a male BCI. All of the articles I was coming across were from 2011, and I couldn't seem to find anything more updated. Now, how to figure out a four day car ride with four snakes, two dogs, and two turtles. I think it may be easier to find someone to ship the reptiles to in AZ if possible. There seems to be several breeders in the Phoenix area.

There are some pretty cool people in Phoenix. Just sayin :) I would definitely recommend shipping if you can swing it. Driving with one cat was miserable enough, I can't imagine making the trip with that many critters. You should join the AZ ball python facebook group, everyone is super helpful on there.

I dont know where you are coming from but to even travel through the state of Ohio with any exotic animal bp's and rtb's included you MUST have a veterinary health certificate! no exceptions. if you get questioned about whats in the tank and you dont have the proper paperwork they can confiscate your animals and a healthy penalty. most vets charge the standard visit price plus $15 for a certificate. if you can i'd suggest shipping but it doesnt sound like that will be an option if you maybe staying in ohio for a while.

Agreed :-) I know there are a few restrictions floating around, but as far as I know, you should be good once you get to Arizona. As far as traveling through the other states, though, I'm not certain of any of the restrictions/requirements.

They are a little more strict on owning hots, but if its just ball pythons and boas u should be fine as others stated. U can even have hots but the rules are a little strict and no non native hots or threatened native species
