Where do get your balls?

Ok so I was just wondering out of curiosity... where do guys and gals do most of your bp purchases... at shows, online, both or other...

Shows, online, or just have friends that I know are producing certain things that I want and so I put my name in for them. :D

I like to purchase at shows because most of the people there you can trust if you are beginning and want to get into ball pythons but don't know much about them and you get to see with your own eyes the quality of the snake:banana:

I went through a phase when I started collecting BP's where I would go on the online classifieds and buy, buy, buy! I wasted so much money, it's actually scary. Don't get me wrong, I produced a lot of great snakes and made all my money back, but it was a rotating door! I should also say that I didn’t quarantine properly, and was just lucky that nobody got really sick or anything. :colbert:

That was then, this is now.

Now I purchase my snakes from reliable breeders whom I have developed relationships with only - nobody else. I also stopped buying so many snakes, and found that a bit of patience really makes a big difference. I now "grow" my females, instead of buying them.

Females you produce yourself are alway less expensive than ones you buy.

I've made a few purchases online but I like to buy in person for the most part. Photos never do these animals justice and its always easier to decide in person :) Plus you get to meet the breeder face to face!

I got mine from NERD. I had the owner "surprise me" and pick me out one that wasn't online. Most pleasant surprise ever. :) I couldn't be happier with how healthy he's been.

I've done online mostly, but in person deals whether at shows or through facebook ads (or friends!) are my preference. When you're online, you're the buyer and price is set. When you go to a show or someones house, money talks and cash in hand gets more snakes than a paypal transaction!

Online mainly.

A mixture, but mainly online/having animals shipped.
