    On the run
Okay so about 2 weeks ago I was cleaning cages. I set my 2011 het pied female "Bellatrix" on the ground in the snake room to roam a bit while I did her tub. Well something important called me away, which wasn't a big deal. The snakes can't get out of the room and will just find a simple hiding spot (room is sparse). Well sure enough when I came back she was inside of the rack I built from home depot shelves. I wasn't worried, I figured she would come out during the night.
5 or so days go by and it's feeding day. She was still in there, but she could smell the food and poked her head out.

    Food?

Another 5 days pass by. Still not coming out (I've been checking about 3-4 times daily). She doesn't poke her head out for this feeding.

Today (another 3 days) I decide I won't wait any longer. I use a pair of wire cutters and cut a small gap, hoping she'll come out on her own. This is what happened shortly after.

So I leave the room so she feels comfortable coming out on her own. I come back 30 min later....and she's on the other side of the rack, still inside it! Now I cut a bigger gap, slowly push her towards it, and blocks off any other paths except out. When I come back I find her on top of my boaphiles with all the things knocked over. Very hissy and upset, but I got her!

Check out her head stamp, I love it. She refused to sit still though

And this is her when not being crazy

All I can think of when looking at the last pic is that she's now in "time out"...:D

What a poop, glad you caught her!

My retic got out the other day during the night; I found her in the morning on top of one of the rat tubs in the rat rack (in the same room). I was quite surprised!

That sucks, but I'm just glad you did catch her. That would of been a headache trying to find her elsewhere.
