I mean, I could get up on a soapbox and talk about how those movies portray snakes as evil and whatnot. But I mean, its just for entertainment and some people like that. I didn't like the first one too much (only could stand about 30 mins of it on HBO) so I probably won't see the next one.

I saw the first one, it was alright, but do they use mechanical anaconda's or are they the real deal?

OMG, I haven't seen a preview for it yet so up till now was oblivious. It's a sequel to the first one? Must have been a huge sale on film! LMAO, that film was sooooooo bad the only way I tolerated it was to get totally goobered on scotch! Now don't get me wrong, friends and neighbors....I love a good cheesy flick. They are the spawn of so many drinking games, but Anaconda 2? *gets out shot glasses* oh boy.........

It was done with mechanical models and CG.

Heres some information about this moronic movie -

This sequel to 1997's Anaconda features a scientific expedition that is sent to the jungles of Borneo to search for a rare orchid by a powerful pharmaceutical company that hopes the orchid can be used to unlock the secrets of youth and immortality. What they discover is that the orchid is already being used by a powerful group... a swarm of giant snakes that derive their super strength, size and vitality from the flowers, and extremely large snakes are also extremely hungry snakes...

I wouldn't spend the $7.50 to see it, I wouldn't even spend $1 to see it, but if it were on HBO or something I may watch a few minutes, but don't think I could sit through the whole thing.
