Forgive me for haunting the rat breeding forum, but I'm getting back into breeding again so questions keep popping up lol. Anyways, I am curious about what kind of rat my male breeder is. He's got pretty long fluffy, slightly wavy with curly whiskers. I don't feel like he should be considered rex because he his fur just has a slightly wave to it... Maybe hes just a bad example of one? Most of his off spring came out with the same coat type, and the ones that had short fur were ungodly soft.
