    scales seem loose, poking up?
I just got my second bp tonight and some of her scales seem loose on the end... like their sticking up. When she wraps around my arm it sounds like your pulling velcro apart slowly. My male don't do it. When I rub my hand down her, she feels normal but a few of the scales feel like their poking up. Is this normal?

It could be ticks or mites making the scales stick up as well. You should check for them.

I put her on paper towels to see if I could see any mites but so far none... she had been drinking like crazy since I got her home

You can visually examine for ticks, just carefully look under the raised scales. My albino came to me with one...but dark pests are easier to see on something light. Ticks are big enough to see though.
