Yes, I know I've turned into the crazy rat lady. Any who, I figured I'd post my little dish if anyone wanted to make some treats that rats(and dogs and cats) go crazy for.

Basically I'd made a roach chow mix with a base of cat chow and rat chow, added vegetarian fish pellet, calcium powder, puffed rice cereal, old fashioned oats and flax seed. I ground up all the ingredients until it was a crumbly powder.

Then I spoke with my roach lady and she said roaches shouldn't be fed any animal protein as it can lead to gout in reptiles. Lo and behold, turns out she was right after I did some research :/ So what was I to do with this giant jug of useless roach chow?
Welp, I added some water til the mixture was paste-y, let it soak for about an hour (because I forgot about it lol). Tossed in two eggs, cooked for 45 min at 375 and voila!! Rat cake :) The house smelled super nasty while it cooked, but all of my mammals loooved it. I broke the cake into chunks and froze a big jar for cool, tasty treats. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/21/ahy9u8an.jpg
