Rack Thermostat
I just picked up a C Serpents 9 tub hatchling rack at the Daytona Expo. I am pretty excited to get it up and running but I need a thermostat. I have a herpstat 1 on my other rack, but I was hoping to not spend the money since I spent a little too much at the show ;-) Of course, my snakes' well being is most important to me, so I will spend what I need to to ensure their health, but I was wondering if anyone had any cheaper thermostat suggestions. I want something reliable that will not fry my hatchlings! Any advice, pros, and/ or cons, is much appreciated! Thanks :-)

Re: Rack Thermostat
Honestly, a Herpstat is the best and safest for the money.
Even the lowest model Herpstat is great and only $99.
If money is really an issue, you can use a Hydrofarm for $30 at Amazon. Its an on/off type and not as accurate as a Herpstat or other proportional Tstats. Also has a wider temp flux in regulating the heat. I have one on my quarantine rack with no issue. My main racks have Herpstats.

Thank you :) I had a pretty good idea that was going to be the general consensus. I think I will go with the lowest model herpstat :) It will let me rest easier at night anyway!
