    feeding and shed
    i have heard many things about feeding while in shed, some say dont others do it either way, so im kinda stumped lol. i think she is in the beginning stages of shed so would it be okay to feed her? this would be her first shed with me and i dont wanna mess anything up.:confusd:

    When she's 'blue' she's not going to be able to see as well and could miss when striking. I fed mine recently not knowing she had gone blue <she's a very content little bugger hiding most of the day away in her hot hide.> And she did fine... Even with live prey.

    Yea she's on live for now and and has been on her hot side since I fed her last week, and he belly is slightly pink and her patter is getting dull. Just wanna be safe

    It won't hurt her to wait until after she sheds. Just gonna be a little more hungry than usual.

    The only way to find out if your BP will eat while in shed or not is to try.

    I will say that the majority of my collection will eat in shed (regardless of the stage) therefore I feed them, the few that I know always refuse when they are in shed, I just skip.

    Just make sure and watch if you're feeding live in case it refuses. I recently discovered just how fast a rat can really jack up a snake.

    Well it worked she ate anyway so I'm happy, she refused for a few weeks. But does anyone have advice on switching to rats ???

    Mine switched from mice to rats with no problem. They seemed to like rats better.
