You are watching jack Hanna's and they say boa constrictors have heat pits to " sense their prey" and you end up in a full blown face palm.....

I'm assuming you're talking to the OP. I was just speaking in general with what I said about stupidity. I see in numerous movies and shows that they refer to venomous snakes a poisonous, and how they say that Anaconda's eat people and what not.
I know they sense heat from cells on the lips though they don't have the visible pits that BP's do and vipers. But I wasn't going to get into this long discussion about it because I'm on my cell phone.

They do have them, they just lack the the labial pits that surround the cells like you notice on the ball pythons and whatever other snakes have them. So technically they don't have the "pits" but they do have the same ability to sense heat from the same cells.
