    Would like help and opinions.
Hello all! I am looking to start up breeding ball pythons for the first time and I have read a lot of the forums here and have gained a lot of knowledge from you guys, thanks for that! But I am posting to ask what, in your guys opinions what are some good morphs to start with. I am a college student and so dont have lots of money at my disposal so nothing to fancy, but would love to hear from you all. Thank you very much

Start with what you really like and can afford I like morphs that have a crazy super.

Examples Cinny and Black Pastel Dark brown or black Super

    Fire, Super Black eyed Lucy

    Lesser, Blue eyed Lucy

and the list goes on and on.

    Good Luck with your decision.

my best advice to you and I'm not trying to be smart about it, as my daughter will be starting her senior year in college. "wait" it's not all about what the snakes cost. there's a lot of equipment needed, vet bills, feed, a lot of time, ect.... put your focus into your education, the price for a college education is outrageous! many can't afford college. you're there, take advantage of it! sorry if this wasn't the type of help you're looking for. I been doing this for a while and it's my honest opinion. don

Agreed. Too many people jump in too soon. I can appreciate the enthusiasm, but I see SO many people selling off collections these days.

In the meantime, you could always get a couple really nice female babies to keep as pets. By the time you're done with school, they'll be ready to breed and you'll be off to a good start, should you decide you still want to breed.

What combos do you like the looks of? Start with the ingredients for those. What people don't realize when they ask the, 'what's best to buy' questions is that several years from now when your girls are large enough to breed, those suggested morphs may not be what's in favor. Pick something you love, and you'll never regret all that crap scooping and tedious husbandry that comes before you get your first clutch of eggs.

Thank you guys very much for the feedback! I do agree with what you guys are saying about college and I do not want to get in to it to much, I dont plan on anything to big, just two bp's and one clutch next year possibly. Nothing to soon. I do like the idea of getting two female hatchlings and just raising them till after college, I really enjoy just handling them and seeing them and such. Beautiful animals! Thank you!
